Charity Dinner to be held at the County Ground!
On Saturday 12th May, Jill Murray and Philip Arnold will host a charity black tie dinner/dance at Somerset County Cricket Club to raise funds towards their participation in the Mandelas & Mountains trek organised by St Margaret’s Hospice which is taking place in the foothills of theHimalayas in October.
The trek will involve walking some 75km in challenging conditions and at altitudes up to 3,200 metres during a week in which most nights will be spent on a camp site – amenities will be of a very basic nature!
In addition to a delicious 3-course meal and dancing to an excellent disco, a raffle and a silent auction will be held during the event.
The work of St Margaret’s Hospice is held in high regard throughout Somerset and demand for their services is increasing – the hospices in Taunton and Yeovil currently need £6 million each year to operate. St Margaret’s has been providing support and care for patients and their families for the last 30 years inTaunton.
The tickets are £35 each, each table seats 10 guests, why not get a party of friends together and really make the evening go with a swing. Tickets available from Jill or Philip as follows:-
