Pete Trego named to captain team in BPL.
Somerset all rounder Pete Trego has been appointed as captain of the Sylhet Royals in the inaugural Bangaldesh Premier League Twenty 20 competition that gets underway later on this month.
The 30 year old from Weston super Mare, who is a very firm favourite with the crowds at the County Ground said: “It is a great honour and a challenge to be named as captain for the Royals.”
He added:“I just can’t wait to get the team together to start our campaign in what looks to be a great cricketing event to be involved in.”
Pete has been out in Bangladesh playing for Abahani in the domestic 50 over competition since just after Christmas.
