SCCC says thank you to Pavilion Appeal supporters
A special reception was held at The County Ground recently for those supporters who have made a Platinum donation to the Somerset Pavilion Appeal.
Supporters who generously contributed to the appeal at the Platinum level were invited to attend day two of our LV= County Championship match against Durham as guests of the Club. They spent the day watching the action from an executive hospitality suite and were presented with exclusive engraved decanters by Chairman Andy Nash.
CEO Guy Lavender said: “We invited those who have made significant contributions to the new build to the ground today for lunch. We then presented them with a small token of our appreciation to thank them for their generosity. The Club appeal has gone incredibly well and I’ve been staggered by how generous our Members from all over the world have been. We are a Members club and I am delighted that our Members have chosen to support the development in the way that they have. Today was a great opportunity for us to say thank you on behalf of everyone at the Club.”
The Somerset Pavilion Appeal was launched in 2014 with one vital aim: to raise funds for a stunning new development which will take Somerset County Cricket Club to the next level both on and off the field.
The Somerset Pavilion will comprise high-quality covered seating behind the bowlers arm, alongside a large bar and entertainment area, high-quality corporate/media facilities and a magnificent roof top viewing area.
Once completed the new building will bring the ground to the standard required to host International cricket.
