All NatWest T20 Blast Matches are SOLD OUT!
Today Somerset will face Glamorgan in their latest home NatWest T20 Blast at the County Ground – the fourth one out of five to be sold out well in advance this Summer.
With both Gloucestershire and Middlesex also sold out in July, Somerset County Cricket Club will have sold out six of their seven home matches this summer – their best result off the field for some years.
Undoubtedly the Chris Gayle affect has been felt far and wide with a 27% increase on new purchasers compared to the 2014 season and a 21% increase on returning customers when also compared to the 2014 season. The T20 six and seven Match passes also doubled on last season with just under 500 sold across the course of the campaign. In previous seasons, this figure has been around 250 sold.
Head of Commercial Operations, Jez Curwin has been delighted by this years sales. “We have had a fantastic buzz around the County Ground this year which is in part due to the World Boss, Chris Gayle.
“Tickets have gone quickly and to be sold out of six out of seven home matches is a fantastic achievement for us off the field. I think many have been caught out this year with some of the matches selling out four to six weeks in advance of the match date. Hopefully this momentum will carry through into next year and as always the advice will be to buy early to avoid disappointment.”
For those who have not been lucky enough to secure tickets for the remaining NatWest T20 Blast matches, the Royal London One-Day Cup competition starts on Sunday 26th July when Somerset take on Derbyshire. Kids go free for this fixture which will get underway at 10:30am. Tickets cost just £20 in advance and can be purchased online by clicking here or by calling 0845 337 1875.
