Cricket Park & Ride to operate on Friday
We are delighted to announce that we have teamed up with The Buses of Somerset and Somerset County Council to offer a Park and Ride facility for our NatWest T20 Blast match against Hampshire on Friday.
In order to ensure that everyone can get to the match safely and in plenty of time there will be a number of buses running on Friday from the Taunton Gateway Park and Ride site near Ruishton. This service will operate every 15 minutes at a cost of just £2.40 per person and will drop passengers at Taunton Parade near the Market House. The return journey, which will run from Taunton Parade near the Market House back to Taunton Gateway, will operate every 10 minutes from 20:30 with a last bus at 21:20.
Chief Executive Guy Lavender said: “With thousands of people set to descend on Taunton for our NatWest T20 Blast fixture on Friday, we wanted to ensure that their journey to and from the County Ground was as smooth as possible whilst also minimising the effect on the town’s already busy roads. We receive a good deal of correspondence about car parking and it is an important issue for Taunton, especially on a match day so hopefully this service will help alleviate some of the traffic congestion around the County Ground on busy match days.”
Please note that this service is running from Taunton Gateway Park and Ride site near Ruishton only.
This match is Sold Out and therefore tickets will not be available on the gate.
