Surrey 2nd XI v Somerset 2nd XI: Match Drawn
Surrey were unable to resume on 13 for 1 in their 2nd innings on Day Three of the Championship match against Somerset
Due to the poor weather the match was abandoned without Surrey adding to their overnight lead of 82 runs. The match was drawn with Somerset taking 12 points and Surrey taking 11.

Somerset were looking for early wickets on the morning of Day Two of their 2nd XI Championship match at Taunton Vale and that was exactly what they got.
Surrey resumed on 398 for 8 but Max Waller ran out David Balcombe without a run being added to the overnight score. Jones was then trapped lbw by Bobby Gamble and Surrey were all out for 422. Gamble was the pick of the Somerset bowlers as he claimed 3 for 60 from 15 overs. Josh Davey took 2 for 62 whilst there was a wicket each for Jamie Overton, Ollie Sale, Jack Leach and Max Waller.
In reply Somerset lost an early wicket when Tom Abell was dismissed with score on 11 but reached 79 before Michael Bates made his way back to the pavilion for 20. At Lunch Somerset were 90 for 2.
After the interval Somerset passed the 150 mark as Adam Hose and Max Waller added 75 for the third wicket. Waller was the man to depart for 38 to leave Somerset on 154 for 3. Hose was eventually caught by Dominic Sibley for an impressive 60 to give Freddie van den Bergh his second wicket as Somerset reached 194 for 4. Alex Barrow then went on to make 49 before being bowled by Sibley with the score on 241. Josh Davey and James Regan then saw off the Surrey bowlers to ensure that Somerset were 252 for 5 at Tea.
After Tea Somerset moved on to 353 for 6 before declaring. Davey made 61 whilst Regan was unbeaten on 57*.
At the close of play Surrey had reached 13 for 1 in their second innings, a lead of 82 runs.
Somerset spent a long hot day in the field on the opening day of their Second XI Championship match against Surrey at Taunton Vale.
After opting to bat first Surrey, who had switched the game to Taunton, had reached 398 for 8 from 104 overs by the close, Vikram Solanki making 97.
Josh Davey ended with 2 for 56 from his 19 overs whilst Bobby Gamble also had 2 for 56 from 11.
There was one wicket each for Jack Leach, Jamie Overton, Ollie Sale and Max Waller.
