OSCA winners announced
On Sunday the Somerset Cricket Board presented the 2015 Outstanding Service to Cricket Awards (OSCA’s) to the winners.
All of the volunteers attending Sunday’s event were nominated either by their club or league for their outstanding contribution to recreational cricket in Somerset.
These awards recognize the people who make cricket possible at clubs and enable the game to be enjoyed by so many at all levels.
The OSCA winners and their guests enjoyed a carvery lunch in the County Room before being presented with their certificates by Somerset Club Captain Marcus Trescothick.
They were also guests of the Club for the Royal London One-Day Cup clash against Derbyshire Falcons.
Andy Fairbairn the Somerset Cricket Development Manager said: “It is always a pleasure and an honour to reward these volunteers and the Somerset Cricket Board recognize the role they play in enabling cricket to thrive and flourish in the county. We will now be submitting 7 of our OSCA winners to the ECB to be put forward for the National OSCAs event at Lords on Monday 12th October.”
