The third day of he Second XI Championship match between Somerset and Hampshire at Taunton Vale was abandoned without a ball bowled and the match ended in a draw.
Somerset ended the second day of their championship match against Hampshire at Taunton Vale leading by 143 runs with seven second innings wickets remaining.

During the afternoon session Hampshire’s third wicket pairing added 134 together before Bobby Gamble struck again with the score on 142.
Three further wickets fell before the tea interval, two to George Dockrell and one to Liam Redrup, by which time Hampshire had moved onto 234 for six.
Hampshire eventually declared on 292 for nine, Gamble ending with four for 63 and Dockrell two for 55.
Batting for a second time Somerset had moved onto 32 for three off 7.4 overs by the close, the batsmen out Eddie Byrom, Marcus Trescothick and Johann Myburgh.
Centuries from Eddie Byrom and Marcus Trescothick enabled Somerset Seconds to end the opening day of their Championship match against Hampshire at Taunton Vale in a commanding position.
In reply to the hosts’ 403 for seven declared Hampshire ended 13 for two off eight overs.
After being put into bat first Byrom and Trescothick took the total onto 32 when the Somerset captain was struck on the hand and left the field.
Byrom was joined by Johann Myburgh who made 32 before he was out with the scored on 110. Tim Rouse then joined Byrom and made 13 before departing after which Trescothick returned.
The opening pair took the total onto 244 when Byrom perished for 110 which he scored off 194 balls with 22 fours.
Trescothick went onto make 127, off 146 balls with 21 fours and one 6 before he departed on 361, before which he added 40 with Alfonso Thomas, who remained unbeaten on 40 before Somerset declared on 403 for seven off 94 overs.
In the remaining eight overs Bobby Gamble struck twice to reduce Hampshire to 13 for two by the close and they resume trailing by 390.
The game resumes on Tuesday at 11am.
