The Mag 7 ride again, raising money for CHSW
The Mag 7 group have taken to the road again this month to raise funds for Children’s Hospice South West.
In 2011, the seven seater bike first hit the road as the group cycled from Bristol to St Austell. In 2012 they went one further and rode through the seven counties of the South West. During these successful trips they raised over £25k for CHSW and despite some of the older members saying they would never do it again, the group are embarking on their biggest challenge yet – the “Longest Pass”.
The trip is being linked to the Rugby World Cup and will carry a sporting theme with local sports stars from the South West joining them en route, throwing a ball to the team on the bike – hence the name, the “Longest Pass”.
Starting in Gloucestershire on Wednesday 16th September, the team will cycle for 11 days stopping in places such as Cribbs Causeway, Weston-super-Mare, Street, Glastonbury, Bridgwater, Taunton, Tiverton, Exeter Princesshay, Dawlish, Teignmouth, Shaldon, Paignton, Torbay, Totnes, Plymouth, Liskeard, Dobwalls, St Austell, Fraddon, before reaching its final destination in Truro.
If you are nearby please go along and support the Mag 7 team and see this rare bike! There are currently only three in the U.K and it’s the size of a Nissan Micra, unmanned it weighs 3/4 tonne and has just one gear.
On Monday 21st September the bike and Mag 7 team are due to arrive at the County Ground from 11:30 onwards so come and join us as we support the team, raising money for CHSW.
