New deal for Somerset and Rotec
There will be a new name on the front of Somerset’s Royal London One-Day Cup shirt this year after the Club signed a new two-year deal with local company Rotec.
Established in 1979 as a supplier of hydraulic hoses and couplings, Rotec Hydraulics is still privately owned and operated today. The Rotec head office is based at the Priorswood Industrial Estate in Taunton and the company is a leading specialist provider of hydraulic, pneumatic and electronic components and systems to a wide variety of organisations operating across the public and private sectors.
This new deal builds on an existing partnership between the two organisations which has seen Rotec sponsor the covers at the Cooper Associates County Ground for the last two years.
Following the signing of this new agreement, Head of Commercial Operations at Somerset County Cricket Club Jez Curwin said: “We have been working with Rotec for two years already and they have been a pleasure to do business with. I am delighted that this arrangement will see them having a greater presence at the Club.”
Paul Prouse, Rotec’s Managing Director said: “Rotec are a locally based supplier of hydraulic hoses, systems and components to a significant customer base countrywide, including Western Power, Princess Yachts and the Ministry of Defence. Having had some advertising involvement with SCCC for some time, including the supply of the covers, we are very pleased to be able to sponsor the Royal London One-Day Cup shirts for the coming two seasons. The Directors and most of the staff are avid SCCC supporters, who, together with club members and other supporters, are looking forward to what should be an exciting few months of cricket.”
