Longstanding relationship continues
One of Somerset County Cricket Club’s longest standing business relationships is continuing this year after it was announced that MJ Baker Foodservice Ltd have signed a new deal.
The West Country based company have been a shirt sponsor since 2008 and this year their name is prominently positioned on the back of the Specsavers County Championship shirt.
MJ Baker Foodservice Ltd was formed in 1999 and have become the region’s leading independent supplier and have a long tradition of supporting sport in the South West.
Following the announcement Somerset CCC Head of Commercial Operations Jez Curwin said: “Over the years Somerset County Cricket Club and MJ Baker Foodservice Ltd have built an excellent working relationship and both parties are delighted that this is set to continue. The Somerset shirt simply wouldn’t look right without their name on it!”
MJ Baker Sales Director Giles Thomas said: “We’re thrilled to continue our relationship with Somerset County Cricket Club. Back in 2008 we wanted to associate ourselves with a premium brand in the South West. Somerset CCC is just that which is why our sponsorship has run for nine years. We thoroughly enjoy dealing with the team over at Somerset and hope that this partnership continues into the tenth year and beyond. We wish them well for the remainder of the 2016 season.”
