Somerset will resume day 3 on 451 for 7 in reply to Worcestershire’s 1st innings total of 212 all out.

Nick Compton (114*) and Alfonso Thomas (9*) will hope to further Somerset’s 1st innings lead of 239 when play gets underway at 10:30am.

The latest news is that Somerset have declared at 11.25am on 512 for 9, a lead of 300, Nick Compton unbeaten on 155.

A minimum of 81 overs remain to be bowled.

By the time lunch was taken at 12.30, Worcestershire had moved to 39 for 2 off 15 overs, Pete Trego claiming the first wicket to fall, bringing his season’s championship tally to 50, and Abdur Rehman the second.

After many years of outstanding service, Director of Cricket Brian Rose is standing down from his position after this current match and Somerset County Cricket Club would like to invite all members and supporters to mark this occasion at a special post-match event.
