New NatWest T20 Blast shirt revealed
Somerset County Cricket Club launched our new NatWest T20 Blast shirt at a special event at the Cooper Associates County Ground last night.
One-Day Captain Jim Allenby, Lewis Gregory and Director of Cricket, Matt Maynard were all on hand to reveal the new design at a special invite-only reception at the Stragglers Coffee House.
The new shirt is inspired by the colours of the Flag of Somerset as Head of Commercial Operations Jez Curwin explains: “This year’s shirt is a real departure from anything that we’ve ever done before. As a Club we are proud to represent the people of Somerset and what better way to do that than for the players to wear the County colours when stepping out on to the field. We would like to say a huge thank you to our Kit Partner Tyka and our designers Peloton Design for taking this new, vibrant shirt from concept to manufacture.”
The event was held in association with Somerset County Sports, The Real Shaving Company, St Austell Brewery, TYKA and Harris Fowler. Also in attendance on the night were the Mayor of Taunton, Councillor Vivienne Stock Williams and our competition winners who each received a new shirt from Jim Allenby.
Discussing the shirt Jim said: “The players are all really pleased with it. We had a real input in to the design this year and we couldn’t be happier. It looks great and just as importantly it’s comfortable to wear.”
The shirt will be available to buy from Somerset County Sports from 10am by clicking here.
