Tom played through the Devon Age Groups before joining the Somerset Academy in 2015 and he also made his Somerset 2nd XI debut that season.
Devon 2016 – 18.
England U19s 2017 -19. He was named Player of the Series versus India. Selected for the 2018 U19 World Cup in New Zealand but he had to return home with a broken hand.
Somerset T20 debut 2019.
Somerset First class debut 2020. Tom proceeded to enjoy a memorable season. He took his first first class wicket and scored his maiden century on the same day against Gloucestershire at Taunton. He then became the youngest Somerset Player to “ carry his bat” (107no) v Worcestershire. He scored a third century against Essex in the Bob Willis Trophy Final at Lord’s. His success culminated in Tom being named in the Greene King team of the season.
Tom had a moderate season in 2021 when he scored just one first class century but he hit a spectacular 90 off 36 balls in the T20 victory versus Gloucestershire at Taunton.
Tom was the only player to play in every championship match in 2022 and he scored nearly 700 runs with one century.
