Somerset County Cricket Club are pleased to announce that we will be staging a special concert at the Cooper Associates County Ground!

On Friday August 6th the stars of London’s West End will be performing an evening of Tina!

With a string of fabulous hits, a reputation for electric stage performances and a voice unmatched in the world of rock and roll, Tina Turner has been wowing audiences for over six decades. Now, with a cast of some of the West End’s most incredible talent and a phenomenal 8-piece band comes a spectacular one-night concert of her amazing music which is, quite simply the best!

TIMINGS

The timings for this event will be as follows:

Gates Open: 17:00

West End Stars Perform: 19:30

Close: 21:30

WHICH GATE SHOULD I USE?

The St James Street Gate is the only gate that will be operational for this event and therefore ticket holders and those who have booked hospitality packages must enter the ground via this gate.

If you have purchased one of our Hospitality Packages you will be issued with your wrist band when entering either the Marcus Trescothick Pavilion or the Colin Atkinson Pavilion.

Please note that bag searches will be taking place at the entrance gate.

WHERE DO I SIT?

The breakdown of seating is as follows:

  • Allocated Seating Ticket Holders: Allocated seat in the Marcus Trescothick Pavilion.
  • Ground Entry Ticket Holders: On the pitch between the stage and the Marcus Trescothick Pavilion.
  • Simply The Best Hospitality Package: Food will be served in your suite with seating for the concert on your balcony.
  • River Deep, Mountain High Hospitality Package: Food will be served in the 1875 Club with seating for the concert on the balcony.
  • Private Dancer Hospitality Package: Food will be served on the Thatchers Terrace where you will also view the concert.
  • Proud Mary Hospitality Package: Food will be served in the Colin Atkinson Pavilion with seating for the concert in the lower tier of the Marcus Trescothick Pavilion.
  • I Can’t Stand The Rain Hospitality Package: Food will be served in Stragglers Coffee House with seating for concert in the lower tier of the Marcus Trescothick Pavilion.

Please note that ticket holders will not be allowed to bring their own chairs.

GETTING TO THE COOPER ASSOCIATES COUNTY GROUND

The Cooper Associates County Ground is located in the centre of Taunton with fantastic links to road and rail networks.

By Road… At Junction 25, take the A358 Exit to Taunton/ Yeovil. At the roundabout, take the 2nd exit (south) or 3rd exit (north) onto the A358 heading to Taunton/ A38/ Minehead, continuing straight onto Toneway/ A358. At the next roundabout, take the 2nd exit onto A3038. At the roundabout take the first exit on to Priory Avenue and the Cooper Associates County Ground will be on your right.

By Rail… Taunton Train Station is a ten minute walk from the Cooper Associates County Ground. As you leave the Station, turn left into Station Road, heading towards the Town Centre. Turn left onto Priory Bridge Road and pass the Cooper Associates County Ground on your right. Turn right on to St Augustine Street and then right on to Priory Avenue. Continue down Priory Avenue and the Cooper Associates County Ground will be on your right.

By Bus… Taunton Bus Station is a five minute walk from the Cooper Associates County Ground. As you leave the station, turn left onto Castle Green. Turn left at Fat Face and walk down to Debenhams before turning right into St James Street and the ground will appear on your left.

By Park & Ride… Taunton operate two park and ride services from either the Silk Mills (West – TA1 5AA) or Junction 25 (East – TA3 5LU) sites.  Please check their opening hours ahead of using the facilities by clicking here.

PARKING

There will be no parking at the Cooper Associates County Ground for this event.

FOOD & DRINK

A wide range of food and drink will be available from the large marquee bar where our staff will be serving hot and cold food, plus Pimms, Prosecco and cocktails.

Once the concert begins, Stragglers Coffee House will be open.

A range of artisan street food will also be available on the St James Street side of the ground.

Ticket holders are not permitted to bring their own food or drink into the Cooper Associates County Ground for this event.
