What happens if I book a Christmas Party Night at the Cooper Associates County Ground, but Covid-19 restrictions are back in place?

Do not worry. Your money is safe! If Somerset County Cricket Club has to cancel your Christmas Party Night due to a tightening in the government restrictions, we can offer you a date for Christmas 2022 at no extra charge. If an alternate date cannot be agreed, then you will be eligible to receive a full and automatic refund thanks to our Covid-19 booking guarantee.

What time does my party start?

Doors open at 7pm for a 7:30pm sit down.

What time does my party end?

We request that our guests finish partying by 12:30am

I have special dietary requirements/food allergies. Do I need to tell you in advance?

Yes please. If you or a member of your party requires an alternative meal due to dietary requirements or allergies, we will be more than happy to cater for those needs. However, you will need to tell us in advance of the evening. If any member of your party requires an alternative dish, please contact our team on 01823 425301 or email:

Is there a dress code?

It’s Christmas and after the year that we have all had, what better reason could there be for getting all dressed up to the nines? Feel free to dress to impress. However, please be aware that we do not allow trainers, sportswear, ripped jeans or baseball caps. Anyone arriving for their Christmas Party Night wearing any of the non-permitted items listed above may be refused entry by our security team.

Do you have on-site parking?

Yes! We have two large car parks at the Cooper Associates County Ground which are available for anyone attending our Christmas Party Nights. Spaces are available on a first come first served basis and any vehicles left overnight are left at the owner’s risk. Somerset County Cricket Club takes no responsibility for any loss, damage, theft, or vandalism to or from any vehicles parked at the Cooper Associates County Ground. Please note that any vehicles left overnight are subject to the standard parking charges the following day. If the standard parking charges are not fulfilled, vehicle owners will be subject to parking fines as outlined on the carpark signage.

I have booked a Christmas Party but unfortunately one or more members of our party now need to self-isolate. What is the COVID-19 Refund Policy?

If a member of your party is unable to attend your Christmas Party Night due to Covid-19 related illness or a period of self-isolation, that person’s deposit will be returned to you. This request must be received at least 24 hours in advance of the date of your party.

At the last minute, a member of my party can no longer attend. Am I entitled to a refund?

All Christmas Party Night deposits and payments are non-refundable. If someone does drop out for non-Covid-19 related reasons, we would advise you to attempt tore-fill that person’s place if at all possible. We cannot transfer any money across to wine/drinks.

Can I pre-order my drinks?

Yes, you can. If you wish to pre-order drinks for your Christmas Party Night, please discuss this with a member of our booking team who will be more than happy to take you through the details and process your payment. For more information, please call us on 01823 425301 or email

Can I set up a bar account on the night?

Yes. Our helpful bar staff will be more than happy to help you set up a bar account for the evening. Please note that the Cooper Associates County Ground is a cashless venue and therefore payments can only be made using chip & pin, contactless or via your mobile device.

Will my Christmas Party Night at the CACG be the same as it has been in the past?

We will do our utmost to deliver the best and most enjoyable Christmas party as we possibly can because you deserve it after the year that you have had! However, Covid-19 restrictions may require us to follow one or more of the following protocols in order to ensure the safety of our guests and staff:

  • The setting of maximum party numbers
  • The limiting of food or drink available on the night
  • Requesting that guests wear personal protective equipment e.g. face masks

Will additional measures be in place when I visit the CACG for my Christmas Party Night?

If social distancing guidelines are back in place, then you will be required to adhere to these. You will need to follow Government guidelines whilst inside the Cooper Associates County Ground. If you are required to wear a mask, follow social distancing rules, carry out hand hygiene regimes etc then you must do so. A one-way system may well also be in place.

Do you send out tickets?

No. We do not send out tickets, so that is one less thing for you to worry about. You will be welcomed by our friendly team who will check you in and direct you to where you need to go to get the party started.

Is there a cloakroom?

Yes. On the night there will be a coat rail service. This is free of charge and will remain open until the end of the night.

Is there an age limit?

Our Christmas Party Nights are for those aged 18 and over. Please note that our bar staff also operate a strict challenge 25 policy.

Will I need to be vaccinated to enter the Cooper Associates County Ground?

Somerset County Cricket Club will continue to follow protocols set out by the UK Government on the roadmap outlined. At this stage, a vaccine will not be required to enter the ground.
