5.5 million views recorded on live streaming service!

Somerset County Cricket Club have recorded more outstanding results on our popular live streaming service this summer!

Initially piloted in July 2017, the Club offered a free stream of every non-televised match held at the Cooper Associates County Ground during the 2021 season.

In total, 5.5 million views were recorded, an increase from 2.7 million in 2020 and 2.1 million in 2019.

That represents a whopping 511,000 cumulative hours of County Cricket watched by Somerset fans online throughout the summer across YouTube and Facebook!

Many of the viewers were from the UK, but Somerset matches were watched all over the world. Examples of the worldwide reach include 14,445 views from Malaysia, 5,675 from Germany, 1,224 from the Maldives and 600 from South Korea!

In addition to this, real-time clips and videos shared on the Club’s social media channels had a record 63 million views over the season and the Somerset website had another strong summer with 5.2 million hits.

We would like to thank everyone who watched Somerset County Cricket Club online during the 2021 summer.
