Andy Hurry takes pride in Somerset Pathway

Somerset County Cricket Club have no fewer than 13 players and coaches involved within the England Pathway.

The Club is incredibly proud that Jack Leach and Dom Bess have been named in the Test squad for Sri Lanka whilst Tom Banton featured in England’s ODI series in South Africa. Lewis Gregory made his IT20 debut late last year and has been captaining the England Lions in Australia. Tom Abell and Craig Overton have also been in action for the Lions this winter whilst Jamie Overton is training with the Lions Down Under.

Kasey Aldridge, Lewis Goldsworthy and Sam Young all performed well for England at the Under 19 World Cup whilst Jason Kerr, Marcus Trescothick and Paul Tweddle have all been involved in a coaching capacity for England or the Lions.

Somerset Director of Cricket, Andy Hurry puts this success down to the quality of players and coaches within the South West region:
