Arbuthnot Latham Champions Dinner
Somerset County Cricket Club were delighted to host a special Champions Dinner recently.
The event was organised by private bankers, Arbuthnot Latham and celebrated the Club’s success in this year’s Royal London One-Day Cup.
Back in May, Somerset beat Hampshire in the final of the 50-over competition at Lord’s and Tom Abell lifted the Club’s fist one-day trophy since 2005.
Several of the players who helped Somerset to victory on that never-to-be-forgotten day at the Home of Cricket were on hand to join the VIP guests at the special dinner which also gave attendees the chance to go behind the scenes.
On arrival, all the guests were escorted to a secret location for arrival drinks. This destination turned out to be somewhere that not many people ever have the privilege of visiting: the home dressing room. As well as getting the rare opportunity to spend some time in this most private of areas, guests were also treated to champagne and canapes.
This was followed by a stunning tailor-made four-course dinner in the stunning 1875 Club which was prepared and created by our outstanding team of chefs.
Throughout the night James Hildreth, Josh Davey, George Bartlett and Jack Brooks along with Director of Cricket, Andy Hurry and Head Coach, Jason Kerr mixed with guests and gave those present the benefit of their expertise regarding the game.
Attendees also enjoyed a number of informative and entertaining question and answer sessions with the players which were hosted by Arbuthnot Latham’s Head of Regional Offices, Chris Reah.
