Big scores means big money for charity

Trade Nation, our Vitality Blast Live Stream Partner, are set to ensure that big scores mean big money for charity when Somerset take to the field at the Cooper Associates County Ground this summer.

At each of our five home Vitality Blast fixtures, Trade Nation have generously agreed to donate £25 for every four and £50 for every six!

In addition to this, there will be eight 12 feet tall x 8ft wide TN targets situated in the stands and each time the ball strikes these letters Trade Nation will donate a further £250… so aim for the stands chaps! What’s more, no matter what the score at the end of the match, Trade Nation promise to donate at least £1,000 to the recipients of each match.

Each of the following matchdays has been designated a charity/not-for-profit to receive fundraising:

Somerset v Glamorgan

Somerset Disability, VI & Super 1’s Cricket
Somerset v Birmingham Bears

Stuart Lane, CEO of Trade Nation, explains why they have made this generous pledge: “We, here at Trade Nation, love cricket, especially the fast-paced, exciting nature of T20 which mirrors our own trading platform experience.

“We know a big part of what makes Somerset CCC so great is the community spirit and, while it’s disappointing to everyone that stadiums won’t be filled with cheering crowds, we thought we’d make the most of the situation by using that stadium space to raise funds for causes recommended by and close to the hearts of the fans. And when the 6s and 4s roll in, there will be double the reason to celebrate! It’s a privilege to help these local charities continue their incredible work throughout the Somerset area.”

Somerset CCC Commercial Sales Manager, Sam McIntyre said: “From the very first day of our partnership with Trade Nation everyone at the Club has been incredibly impressed with the positive attitude that surrounds their organisation. Their drive, passion and desire to help us take the Vitality Blast to another level has been matched only by their generosity.

“For them to make such a gesture to local good causes just goes to show their integrity. It is values like this that link perfectly with our continued mission to use cricket to benefit the community that we are so lucky to be a part of.

“We announced recently that the two organisations will be working together to give some lucky Somerset supporters the matchday experience of a lifetime and this latest announcement just goes to highlight how vital it is for us to give something back to those people who we dearly wish could be joining us here at the Cooper Associates County Ground.

“I can’t thank Trade Nation enough for their support of Somerset CCC and the wider community during these unprecedented times.”
