Christmas Holiday Camps

The Somerset Cricket Board are running a number of Christmas Holiday Camps this winter.

The camps are for children aged between six and twelve and the aim of each day is for all the attendees to have a great time being physically active as well as practising and improving their cricket skills in a fun, relaxed and safe environment.

The six to nine year old camps will involve lots of softball games and activities. These will give the players the opportunity to bat, bowl and catch their way through the holiday!

The 10 to 12 year old courses will give players the opportunity to improve their cricketing skills through a range of activities, practises and games. There will be a mixture of softball and hardball activities which will allow players to explore and develop their game in a positive environment.

The days will be delivered by full-time community coaches who are experts in delivering enjoyable and challenging sessions to children.

Each day runs from 9:30am to 3:30pm and costs just £25.

The course dates are as follows:

Wednesday 3rd January 2018 – 9:30am-3:30pm (6-9 years old) – BOOK HERE

Thursday 4th January 2018 – 9:30am-3:30pm (6-9 year olds) – BOOK HERE

Friday 5th January 2018 – 9:30am-3:30pm (10-12 years old) – BOOK HERE

All courses will be held in the Centre of Excellence at the Cooper Associates County Ground, Taunton, TA1 IJT

Players on the 10 to 12 year olds course will need all their cricket equipment (bat, pads, gloves, box, helmet) if they would like to bat against a hard ball.

Players will need to bring plenty to drink, lunch and snacks as well as appropriate indoor clothing (cricket whites are not necessary).
