Christmas in full swing at the CACG

Our first Christmas Party Nights of 2019 have been a real success.

Over the course of 11 nights, over 3600 guests from over 120 local organisations will be celebrating Christmas is style at the Cooper Associates County Ground and Catering General Manager, Sam Safe is delighted by how well the first events have been received. “The first few parties have been really enjoyable, and everyone seems to have had a great time,” she said. “To be able to ensure that so many people have a great night at this time of year is really rewarding.

“The rooms look incredible with all their festive decorations, the staff have been phenomenal and once again the charity pig racing has gone down a storm.

“Each night we ask every table if they would like to sponsor a pig for the evening for a minimum donation of £10. After all the tables had chosen their pigs, we switch them on, line them up and let them go!

“The winner is the first pig to make it across the dance floor and the winning table get a large festive cocktail bauble to enjoy. It’s good fun and this year we are absolutely delighted to be supporting the Somerset Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.

“This is without a doubt our busiest time of year and it’s something that all the staff look forward to. Being able to deliver such successful events to so many people across a number of venues is a massive challenge but it’s one that we all relish.”
