Club Statement: Almanac
Somerset County Cricket Club are disappointed to read the recent press coverage relating to the Club Almanac.
Once again, this information has come from an unauthorised source and contains factually incorrect statements which would and should have been clarified in your mailings over the coming months.
Following on from a recent Committee Meeting, the Executive team and Member representatives discussed the Almanac, the escalating costs of printing and posting the book as well as our ongoing carbon footprint.
The decision was made to still produce the Almanac as it’s a key part of the Club and our history. However, with both costs and our footprint in mind, the decision was taken to primarily make this a digital copy which will be sent by email, with written instructions on how to access and download the e-Book sent through the post with your AGM notification and Statement of Accounts in December 2019.
Despite what the recent coverage has suggested, a number of Almanac’s will be printed and held at the Cooper Associates County Ground. Members who cannot access the e-Book will be able to either collect or request a copy to be posted in the new year.
In order to ascertain numbers, Members may contact the Club and add their name to the printed list, and they will be contacted in the New Year, once the book becomes available.
Somerset County Cricket Club would like to reassure Members that if they have any issues, queries or questions they can contact the Club directly on 01823 425301 or email firstname.lastname@example.orgBack to News
