We can’t wait to see you back where you belong!

We will contact you shortly with the full and final details of what will happen next, so please do keep an eye on your inbox. As well as receiving your e-ticket we will be updating you with regards to what protocols will be in place when you return to the ground. We will also bring you “Waller’s Walk Through”, which will see Max Waller talk you through what will be different when you return to the Cooper Associates County Ground.

How will I receive my matchday ticket? 

You will receive your e-ticket via an email which will contain instructions on how to download your ticket. You will either need to print this ticket and bring it with you to gain access to the Cooper Associates County Ground or you will need to store it on your mobile phone in readiness for the match date. E-tickets cannot be forwarded on to another person, so if you do need to receive these on a different device, please contact the Ticket Office on 01823 425301.

When will I receive my tickets?

Tickets will be emailed a minimum of five working days prior to the match date. If you have not received yours, please check your spam/junk folders before contacting the Ticket Office on 01823 425301. In the meanwhile, please add enquiries@somersetcountycc.co.uk to your “safe senders” list.

Are tickets transferrable?

No. All tickets allocated via the ballot process are solely for use by that specific Member. If Members are found to be reallocating match tickets, the Club reserves the right to cancel future ballot allocation and Membership rights.

Do I need my Membership card?

No, Membership cards will not be required during the reduced capacity stage and WILL NOT gain you access. Members are reminded that if they are successful in the ballot, they will be sent an e-ticket to gain access to the Cooper Associates County Ground.

Can I cancel my ticket if successful in the ballot? 

The Club will contact successful Members within the ballot in advance of allocating your ticket(s). At this stage, you may cancel amend your booking and ballot requests.

Once allocated, tickets can only be cancelled if you receive a positive Covid-19 test or if you are required to self-isolate. However, you must inform the Club before the fixture date in order for us to be able to reassign your ticket. If you are unable to attend for these reasons, please contact the Club immediately on 01823 425301.

Do I have to sit in the seat that I have been allocated?

Yes. All Members must sit in the seat that they have been allocated. This is for health and safety reasons and also to ensure that the Club are adhering to Government and ECB guidelines regarding social distancing. Any Member who tries to sit anywhere other than their allocated seat will be asked to leave the Ground. If you have been successful for multiple matches, your seat may very well be different for each individual matchday. Therefore, please check your e-ticket carefully for your seat number each day.

Will additional safety measures be in place at the Cooper Associates County Ground?

Whilst social distancing guidelines are in place you will be asked to strictly adhere to these and any ECB and Government guidelines whilst inside the Cooper Associates County Ground. You will be required to wear a face covering at times, follow social distancing rules, sit only in your allocated seat, and maintain regular hand hygiene practices. Entry to the ground will be by named gates and one-way systems will be in place. Members will also be asked to adhere to our new Spectator Code of Conduct

Will safety signage be clear?

Yes. New safety signage will be clearly displayed throughout the Cooper Associates County Ground in order to ensure a safe and easy wayfinding experience. Our matchday stewards will also be on hand to answer any questions that you might have.

When can I enter the Ground?

The time slot during which you are required to enter the Cooper Associates County Ground by will be clearly indicated on your matchday ticket. Please enter the ground during your specified time slot.

What gate do I need to use?

The gate that you need to enter the Cooper Associates County Ground by will be clearly indicated on your matchday ticket. You must enter the ground by your specified gate. Attempted entry at alternative gates will be refused.

Will I need to take a Covid-19 test before entering the Ground?

Not at this stage. However, we will continue to be led by Government/national guidance and this is therefore subject to change. If you are experiencing any Covid-19 symptoms you must follow Government guidelines; self-isolate and inform the Club immediately.

Will I need to use the NHS track and trace app?

We would encourage all Members to download and utilise the NHS App, checking into the Ground on arrival.

What should I do if I am vulnerable or at higher risk from COVID-19?  

Following Covid-19 risk assessments, an array of safety measures have been introduced at the Cooper Associates County Ground to ensure we are mitigating the transmission of Covid-19. However, whilst it remains in circulation, an element of risk will remain.

Members who have been shielding, who are clinically vulnerable or at a higher risk from Covid-19 will need to weigh up this risk when attending the Cooper Associates County Ground. The Club staff are not able to advise further than the measures being implemented. If you do have concerns, please consult a medical professional before claiming your ticket(s).

Will I be required to wear a mask?

Yes. You will be required to wear a face covering when you are not sat in your allocated seat. If you are exempt from wearing a face covering, please inform one of our matchday stewards.

Which seating areas will be open?

The following stands will be in use and seats will be allocated to you as your ticket(s) are processed:

  • Marcus Trescothick Pavilion Elevated
  • Marcus Trescothick Pavilion Lower
  • Gimblett’s Hill
  • Somerset Stand Block 1 – 5
  • The River Stand
  • The Lord Ian Botham Stand
  • The Ondaatje No-Alcohol Stand

Which accessible seating areas will be open? 

Accessible seating will be allocated on Legend’s Square and to the left of the Ondaatje No-Alcohol Stand.

Will car parking spaces be available?
Car parking will not be made available to the general Membership. A small number of accessible parking spaces will be made available and drawn via the original Members ballot.

Will catering be available?

Yes. Our outdoor catering outlets will be available for Members to use when the Cooper Associates County Ground reopens. To ensure the safety and well being of our Members, there will be a number of new procedures in place, such as one-way systems, socially distanced queueing and cashless payments. Our catering staff will also be required to wear PPE and carry out regular hand hygiene protocols.

Can Members bring their own food?

Yes. Members are welcome to bring their own food on a matchday. Members are reminded that they may not bring alcohol to Vitality Blast matches.

Can Members move freely around the Cooper Associates County Ground?

No. There will be hard closures in place which will prevent Members moving throughout the Cooper Associates County Ground. Members will be asked to “stay local” to their Stand once inside the ground.

Can Members access the Field of Play during intervals?

No. There will be no admittance onto the field of play at any stage during the day. Authorised officials who are permitted onto this area will wearing the appropriate accreditation.

Can I approach Players to ask for their autographs?

No. Unfortunately, in order to protect the elite environment, there will be no interaction between players and Members during this stage. Please do not approach players for autographs as they have been clearly advised to not sign these until further notice.

Can I bring my dog into the Cooper Associates County Ground?

Unfortunately, during the reduced capacity matches, dogs (unless they are guide/medically trained) will not be permitted access into the Cooper Associates County Ground. All tickets are allocated within stands and sadly dogs would hamper the social distancing efforts being put in place.

We very much look forward to welcoming our four-legged friends back into the Cooper Associates County Ground once all restrictions are lifted.

Does a disabled Member’s carer have to be named in advance of the match?

No. Members who require a carer will not need to name their carer prior to the match. Please do ensure that both the Member and the carer have their matchday tickets.

Will supporters be allowed to bring in their own sanitizing products?

Whilst there are several hand sanitization points located around the Cooper Associates County Ground, Members are welcome to bring their own hand gels and antibacterial wipes if they wish.

What happens if the match is to be played behind closed doors?

If you have been successful in the ballot but the Government requires the match to be played behind closed doors, you will not be entitled to attend the match. The Club will contact you in advance of the match date to confirm this.

Will I be allowed to leave the ground during the match and return later that day?

During LV= Insurance County Championship matches, Members will be able to leave and return to the ground during the intervals. However, we request that Members keep any movement to a minimum during the match.

During Vitality Blast matches, Members will be unable to leave and return to the Cooper Associates County Ground due to the shortened time period and ensuring that social distancing can be maintained and managed at the gates.

When will I receive my Membership pack?

Membership Packs will begin to be issued towards the end of May. Members are reminded that if they are successful in the ballot, they will require their e-ticket to gain access to the Cooper Associates County Ground. A Membership card alone will not grant you admittance.

Somerset County Cricket Club are committed to providing our Members with a safe, secure, and welcoming environment. We have been working with the local authority and a number of key stakeholders in order to create and implement venue operations plans and COVID-19 stadium risk assessments which are specifically designed to minimise any possible risk to the public. To this end, a number of new procedures have been introduced at the Cooper Associates County Ground and we ask that you read the above FAQs in order to familiarize yourself with any alterations to matchday procedure.

In addition to this our staff will be doing everything that they can to ensure the safety of our Members, such as wearing PPE and implementing additional cleaning measures throughout the Ground. All our matchday staff have also received appropriate training in relation to COVID-19 and its associated risks.

These protocols are designed to ensure that the Cooper Associates County Ground is as safe as it possibly can be.
