Job Title: Head of Talent Pathway
Accountable to: Director of Cricket
Contract: Full-time, permanent
Hours: Minimum 40 hours per week to include weekends, bank holidays and unsociable hours
Salary: Competitive salary and benefits package available

The Role
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a passionate and ambitious person to Head our Academy and County Talent Pathway at Somerset County Cricket Club. The Head of Talent Pathway (HOTP) will lead the delivery of the Somerset CCC boys, girls & women’s County Talent Pathway strategy to identify and develop the highest potential cricketers for Somerset and England. In this role you will advance the development of the SCCC Talent Development System ensuring continual improvement in player delivery, coach education and parental engagement and awareness. and work collaboratively across the region with our National Counties Partners
The Person
Our ideal HOTP will be an innovative thinker with the ambition to deliver a best-in-class talent development programme within budget. You’ll work with a collaborative approach, leading and mentoring your team to get the best performance from all. You have the ability and desire to influence key stakeholders and your high level of emotional intelligence equips you to reflect on your own, and others’, performance with the aim of continual improvement. You communicate effectively through all mediums and are adept at making decisions under pressure. You demonstrate dedication to your responsibilities and exhibit genuine passion in the pursuit of the Club’s goals and values.
You possess a minimum of ECB Level Three Coaching Certificate or international equivalent. This is coupled with a proven track record and demonstrable experience in coaching, mentoring and developing young people. You must also have a clear understanding of the ECB Pathway and Coaching Guidelines.
