ICC Women's World Cup: Australia v West Indies: As It Happened
The ICC Women’s World Cup arrives in Taunton today as the County Ground hosts Australia against West Indies, which gets underway at 10:30am. It is currently cloudy but dry and we are expecting a full day of cricket without interruption. The gates are now open and a reminder that Somerset Platinum Members can enter the ground for free. 16.28 – Its all over as Perry hits a single to square leg off Taylor to see Australia to an 8 wicket victory with more than 11 overs remaining. Bolton ends unbeaten on 107 off 115 balls while Perry is not out 5. Great game so lets hope we get an even better crowd for the next game here on Thursday.

16.21- Bolton single off Taylor off 36.3 sees up 200 on the board.
16.14- Bolton pushes Taylor to deep mid off for a single to see up her 100 off 108 balls with 13x4s. A great innings and well deserved.
16.11- Wicket- Lanning looking to hit Taylor back over her head is caught just inside the boundary by Matthews running away from her- great catch takes the score onto 189/2 off 34.1. New batsman is Perry.
16.10- Australia closing on their total and after 34 overs have moved onto 189/1 still needing 16 for victory.
16.04- 33 overs now gone and Australia have moved 182/1 leaving them needing 23 runs for victory.
15.53- Wicket:- Mooney is out bowled by Taylor for 70- 171/1. Australia need a further 34 for victory as skipper Meg Lanning makes her way to the wicket.
15.52- 30 overs gone and Australia are 171/0, Bolton has moved onto 92 and Mooney is 70 not out.
15.47- Australia racing towards their target and now only need 42 for victory, Bolton unbeaten on 85 and Mooney 69 not out.
15.32- Bolton single to mid off sees her to 50 off 73 balls- 119/0 in 25.0 overs
15.29- Selman leaves the field after being hit at short leg by a full power drive by Bolton off Matthews. 15.26- SIX- Mooney lofts a fuller delivery from Matthews over the top and into the Atkinson Pavilion.
15.21- Mooney single to long off from Mohammed sees the 100 up onto the board. 15.20- Mooney takes a single off Matthews to see up her 50 off 66 balls- 99/0
15.10- 90/0 off 20 overs- Mooney onto 47 and Bolton 38. 15.00- 18 overs gone and the total now stands at 83 without loss, Mooney is heading the race to half century with 43 while Bolton is on 35.
14.49- After 15 overs Australia have now moved onto 66 without loss, Bolton on 32 and Mooney 31.
14.36- Mooney single off Taylor to fine leg sees up the Australia 50 off 11.3 overs.
14.32- 10 overs gone and Australia have moved along to 39 without loss, Mooney on 19 and Bolton 18. 14.25- Taylor, right arm off spinner, enters the attack at the River End for the eighth over 32/0
14.17- 6 overs now gone and Australia have moved onto 23/0 – Beth Mooney 13 and Nichole Bolton 6.
14.09- We are back underway here at Taunton where in pursuit of 205 Australia have advance onto 13 without loss Nicole Bolton on 8 and Beth Mooney 5 not out.
Half time report– ‘After winning the toss and batting first the West Indies were dismissed for 204 in 47.5 overs. At the top of the innings Hayley Matthews got her team off to a good start making 46 off 63 deliveries with seven fours. However it was Stefanie Taylor and Deandra Dottin who upped the run rate adding 34 together in just over four overs before the latter was out for 29 off just 20 balls which included six 4s. Taylor lived up to her reputation and made 45 off 57 balls with one 4 and a massive 6 before she was the eighth wicket to fall with the total on 196. Wickets tumbled at the end of the innings before the West Indies were all out with 19 balls left to bowl. Ellyse Perry was the pick of the Australian bowlers with three for 47 off her nine overs, while Megan Schutt bowled a miserly 8.5 overs for just 22 runs and claimed one wicket.’

13.20- Wicket- Fletcher is out bowled by Perry for 3 making West Indies 202/9. New batsman is Shamilia Connell.
13.14- Wicket- Taylor lofts her first ball from Jonassen to long on where Villani takes the catch inside the boundary ropes to make West Indies 197/8. New batsman is Shakera Selman.
13.13- Wicket: Mohammed is run out for 9 making West Indies 196/7 off 45.4 overs. New batsman is Afy Fletcher.
13.10- 45 overs gone and the West Indies have moved onto 195/6
13.06- SIX- Taylor lifts Ashleigh Gardner back over her head for the second maximum of the match. Great shot from Western Storm player!

12.24- Wicket:- Nation is out caught by Alex Blackwell off Kristen Beams for 39 off 72 balls making West Indies 123/5. The new batsman at the wicket is Deandra Dottin.
12.18- 30 overs now gone and West Indies are now 118/2 Nation on 37 and Taylor 15- the tempo has moved up a little bit.
12.09- SIX- first maximum of the day as Nation clips Perry over backward square leg. Great shot!
12.07- Taylor takes a single to backward square leg off Perry to see up the 100 off 27.2 overs.
11.58- At the halfway stage West Indies are 92/2. 11.55- Wicket:- Matthews is bowled by Jess Jonassen for 46- 86/2. Stafanie Taylor, who knows the Taunton wicket well as she plays for Western Storm is the new batsman.
11.37- After 19 overs West Indies have progressed onto 60/1 with Matthews on 33 and Nation 9.
11.24- 15 overs gone and West Indies have moved onto 44 for 1, with Matthews now on 26 off 42 and Nation 5 not out off 18 balls.
11.08- Wicket: Felicity Walters looks to hook Ellyse Perry from the River End and is caught at square leg by Ellyse Villani to make West Indies 34 /1 off 10.3 overs. New batsman is Chedean Nation.
