Latest Business Club event hailed as a great success

The latest 2018 Somerset County Cricket Club Business Club event took place recently.

Over 60 Members from companies across the region attended the special Business Breakfast at the Cooper Associates County Ground where they were treated to an in-depth question and answer session with Somerset Head Coach, Jason Kerr. After the session he then answered several questions from the floor.

There was then another Q&A with Somerset CCC stadium announcer and former television presenter Mark Tyler. Amongst other things, Mark talked about his time with the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner for Devon, Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly, as well as discussing the importance of businesses becoming the producers and distributors of their own news.

The event was then officially closed by Somerset CEO Andrew Cornish.

There was also plenty of time for delegates to network and meet new people.

Following the event Somerset CCC Commercial Sales Manager, Sam McIntyre said: “It was great to see so many people from a vast array of different businesses in attendance. The Business Club is going from strength to strength and I would like to thank all of our members for their continued support.

“The purpose of the Business Club is to enable local companies to expand their connections and I have no doubt that was the case at the Business Breakfast. Jason Kerr spoke extremely well and what he had to say will have been of interest to cricket fans and those with no knowledge of the game.”

Launched in 2015, the Somerset CCC Business Club is tailored for and aimed at the regions business community.

In association with PKF Francis Clark, Clarke Willmott and Jelf, The Business Club Package includes two Long Room Platinum Memberships which will give you entry to the Long Room for all Somerset home matches*, access to a private bar, complimentary match-day tea and coffee plus morning and afternoon refreshments.

In addition to this, Members also receive six invitations to our four networking events that will take place during 2018.

They also receive two complimentary places at our Opening Season Lunch and our End of Season Awards.
