LBW Club Latest

Somerset County Cricket Club held the latest event for the new LBW Club at the Cooper Associates County Ground recently.

The special business breakfast for LBW Club Members and their guests was held in our superb Long Room facility and gave those in attendance the chance to network with fellow local businesses.

The event was officially opened by Somerset CCC CEO, Andrew Cornish and also featured two guest speakers.

First of all, award-winning BBC broadcaster, Charlie Taylor talked about the broadcasting industry, his love of the game and his excellent cricket show on BBC Somerset.

Charlie was followed to the stage by CEO of Somerset West and Taunton Council, James Hassett who outlined his visions for Taunton and explained how local business people could play their part in the future prosperity of the town and the county as a whole.

Formerly known as the SCCC Business Club, Leading Businesses in the West (LBW) is designed to bring like-minded people from a variety of companies together through the business of sport.

The purpose of The LBW Club is to bring local businesses together so that they can meet, discuss ideas and make new connections.

The initiative has been revamped for 2019 in order to ensure that our Members gain even more benefits and there are a number of exciting events planned throughout the year.

The next event will be a special fan zone experience at our floodlit Vitality Blast fixture against Surrey at the Cooper Associates County Ground on August 2nd.
