Marcus getting back in the saddle for charity
Marcus Trescothick will be swapping his bat for a bike again next month.
The opening batsman, who signed a new contract extension with Somerset earlier this week, will be undertaking a special bike ride in order to raise money for Children’s Hospice South West.
The event begins on Monday October 8th and will see Marcus and his team cycle from Keynsham to St Austell over the course of just five days.
Ahead of the ride Marcus said: “I first got to know about Children’s Hospice South West over 10 years ago and have been supporting them as much as possible ever since. They do a really fantastic job at each of their three hospices, looking after life-limited children and helping support their families. We are undertaking this ride to help raise funds for CHSW and also at the same time to help promote and raise awareness of what they do. A highlight for me personally will be visiting all three children’s hospices once again during the course of our five day ride.
