Membership 2021 - message from Gordon Hollins
I would like to begin by wishing all of our Members and supporters a very happy new year. 2020 was a year like none of us have experienced before and I sincerely hope that you and your families are safe and well during these challenging times.
Due to the current lockdown, our technical team have been working hard to ensure that our staff, most of whom are now working from home, can safely and efficiently process Membership applications and deal with any enquiries. This took slightly longer than was expected but staff are now able to access all the necessary technology remotely.
Our team is working hard to answer calls as soon as possible. I am aware that it has taken some people longer than we would have liked to have their calls answered for which I sincerely apologise. Action has now been taken to increase the number of people answering Membership calls and enquiries and to ensure that you receive the service you expect. This additional resource will be in place by Thursday January 14th.
If you would like to ensure that your Membership application is processed quickly, I would encourage you to purchase your Membership online by clicking here
I have also included an easy to follow downloadable guide on how to utilise our system which you may find helpful if you are buying Membership online for the first time. At the end of this communication, you will also find a video guide on how to purchase your Membership online.
If you have any questions about Membership, please click here for a list of our FAQs.
If your query is not covered by the FAQs, please feel free to email the Club and one of our staff will call you back as soon as possible. You can do this via firstname.lastname@example.org
Your Club needs you!
I have no doubt that our great Club, which has survived two World Wars, will come through these extraordinary times. With your unwavering support and the continued commitment of our Commercial Partners and Stakeholders, it will. However, your Club has never needed you more than it does now. With this in mind, I would encourage you to renew or purchase your Memberships as soon as possible. Your Membership fee is absolutely vital.
While I am very confident that the rollout of the vaccines will enable the 2021 season to proceed as scheduled and for crowds to return at some point in the spring, to allow you to take out Membership for 2021 with peace of mind, we are offering you a COVID-19 assurance. If Government restrictions prevent Members entering the Cooper Associates County Ground on matchdays, you will be given the option of claiming a proportionate refund or donating your Membership fee to the Club.
In the event of ground capacity being restricted during the season, those Members who take advantage of the ‘early bird’ offer and submit their Membership application before January 31st 2021, will receive priority access ahead of other Members and matchday ticket buyers.
In closing, I would like to once again thank you for your continued and unfaltering support of your Club, and I sincerely hope that we will see you in person, cheering the team on to success this summer. In the meantime, everyone at Somerset County Cricket Club hopes that you and your families remain safe and well.
