Membership, Hospitality and Ticketing Update
Following this evening’s announcement by the Prime Minister regarding the extension of Covid-19 restrictions, Somerset County Cricket Club would like to outline what this will mean for Members and ticket purchasers.
As with the ballot process that was conducted earlier this month, Members will once again be granted priority access to the affected matches.
In order to ensure that as many Members and supporters as possible are able to attend these matches, Somerset County Cricket Club are urging Members to only apply for match days that they will definitely attend.
The affected matches are:
- Friday June 25th: Somerset v Hampshire Hawks – Vitality Blast
- Saturday June 26th: Western Storm v Sunrisers – T20
- Wednesday June 30th: England v India – Women’s ODI
- Friday July 2nd: Somerset v Middlesex – Vitality Blast
- Sunday July 4th to Wednesday July 7th: Somerset v Leicestershire – LV= Insurance County Championship
- Saturday July 10th: Western Storm v Diamonds – T20
- Sunday July 18th: Somerset v Gloucestershire – Vitality Blast
Members who wish to attend the matches which are now affected by the restrictions are asked to register your attendance via a simple online form before 11:59pm on Friday June 18th.
The ticket allocation process will begin on Friday June 18th, and Members will be notified shortly thereafter regarding their seat allocations, before being sent e-tickets for their matches.
As with the previous ballot, you will require your e-ticket and NOT your Membership card to gain access to the Cooper Associates County Ground.
Members will be permitted to sit with their household bubble, however regrettably and given the short time frame available to us, the Club will only be able to accommodate one additional member of the household or support bubble.
Once again, we would appreciate Members sitting in the seat that they have been allocated and following our spectator code of conduct when visiting the Cooper Associates County Ground.
The delay to lockdown easing will also impact our matchday hospitality offering. Although we will not be in a position to deliver the hospitality packages that we had originally planned, there will be a reduced but high-quality option available to you. A member of our Commercial Team will be in contact with you shortly to discuss your options.
Those who have already purchased tickets for the affected T20 matches will receive an automatic refund. We have worked hard to ensure that ticket purchasers for the other games will still be able to attend.
This process will begin from Wednesday June 16th, and refunds will be delivered by the same method in which the tickets were originally paid for.
Once the Member allocation has been filled, ticket purchasers will be offered the opportunity to buy any remaining tickets online.
This priority window will be open from 3pm on June 22nd until 3pm on June 23rd.
Somerset County Cricket Club would like to apologise for any inconvenience that these changes may cause.
CONFERENCING & EVENTS
Obviously, the Government restrictions will have an impact on the Club’s Conference & Events customers. If you are due to be staging or attending an event at the Cooper Associates County Ground post-June 21st, one of our Commercial Executives will be in contact with you soon so that you can discuss your options.
