Membership Q&A and 1981 B&H Cup Final watchalong

Somerset County Cricket Club would like to invite Members to an exclusive online event next week.

Using recently obtained footage straight from the BBC archive, Somerset Members are invited to join us on Thursday May 27th at 7pm to watch through one of the most celebrated days in the Club’s history.

The event will also feature a Membership Q&A with CEO Gordon Hollins.

The watchalong will last for approximately one hour and will feature a previously unseen digitised version of the BBC highlights package that aired on the day back in 1981.

In addition to the incredible footage, popular local journalist Richard Walsh will be joined by Club legends Brian Rose and Vic Marks to “commentate” as the action unfolds on screen. The Club will broadcast this special show on YouTube via a private link which will be emailed to Members soon.

The YouTube chat function will be open for supporters to share their memories and the broadcast will be available to watch on all devices including TV’s.

If you are a Member and you do not receive email communication from us, please call 01823 425301.

We look forward to seeing you all for the watchalong on May 27th. If you can’t attend the live, it will be available on catch up immediately after the event using the link emailed to you.

If you have a question that you would like answered on the night, please email enquiries@somersetcountycc.co.uk before 12pm on Thursday May 27th.
