NatWest T20 Blast Opponents: Kent Ones to Watch
We continue our series looking at which teams will be coming to the Cooper Associates County Ground this summer, by turning the spotlight on to Kent Spitfires.

Sam Northeast has thrived at Kent since taking over the captaincy from Robert Key.
He made his Second XI debut for the county in 2005 and just two years later he was featuring for the First Team.
His 83 T20 matches have resulted in 2126 runs at an average of 32.70 with a high score of 114 and a strike rate of 136.80.

Kent’s Wicketkeeper batsman has been involved with the England IT20 squad since 2015 but has found his pathway blocked by the likes of Jos Buttler.
He has proved himself to be an outstanding cricketer in all three formats of the game for Kent and his 13 IT20s for England have seen him score 148 runs with a high score of 53 at a strike rate of 146.53.
His 115 T20 matches have yielded 2027 runs with a high score of 78* at a strike rate of 125.27.

Daniel Bell-Drummond attended Millfield School and has represented England at Under 15, Under 17 and Under 19 level.
The 23 year old made his First XI debut for Kent in 2011 and hasn’t looked back since. In 2016 he topped the Spitfires’ NatWest T20 Blast batting averages.
He has scored a total of 1335 runs in his 52 matches at an average of 27.24 with a high score of 112* at a strike rate of 130.49.
