New 2018 shirts revealed

Somerset County Cricket Club have launched our new shirts ahead of the 2018 season.

The three shirts were revealed at an exclusive invite-only event at the Cooper Associates County Ground earlier tonight.

Club Captain Tom Abell, Vitality Blast Captain Lewis Gregory and Marcus Trescothick were on hand to reveal the 2018 designs at the special reception for official Club Partners, local dignitaries and competition winners.

Somerset County Cricket Club Head of Commercial, Sarah Trunks said: “This year’s Vitality Blast shirt is something really different. We wanted the shirt to replicate exactly what the Vitality Blast is all about; action, excitement and vibrancy. We have had a great deal of positive feedback from our partners and the supporters who were here to see the exclusive launch tonight. Importantly the players really like it and as always they had a big say in the final design.

“We would like to take this opportunity to thank our new Official Kit Partner Shrey and Peloton Design for all their help in taking this shirt from the sketch pad and making it a reality.”

The special launch event was held in association with all of our main Partners and also in attendance on the night were the Mayor of Taunton, Councillor Hazel Prior-Sankey and 10 competition winners who will each receive a 2018 shirt.

Following the event Tom Abell said: “Once again the players are all really pleased with the shirts. They are all very different but they all look great and are comfortable to wear.

“Hopefully they will be really popular with the Members and supporters because it’s always great to see a lot of replica shirts in the crowd when you walk out on to the field.”

The three shirts will be available to order from Somerset County Sports by clicking here.
