Somerset players have been turning on the style overseas in the last few days.

Tom Kohler-Cadmore smashed his way to 106 not out from just 47 balls as Sharjah Warriors overcame Dubai Capitals by seven wickets with 32 balls remaining in the ILT20 tournament.

His innings included 10 fours and six sixes.

Tom has now scored 213 runs in the competition at an average of 53,50 with a strike rate of 167.71.

Roelof van der Merwe returned incredible figures of six for 20 in the SA20 as Sunrisers Eastern Cape beat Durban’s Super Giants by 124 runs. The Netherlands International now has 12 wickets in the tournament making him the second leading wicket taker in the competition.

Elsewhere, Tom Abell made 50 from 41 balls for England Lions in their warm up match against the Sri Lanka Board President’s XI. This is the second fastest ever half century for England at ‘A Team’ level, surpassing Moeen Ali’s 50 from 43 balls against Sri Lanka A in 2013/14.

Niamh and Sophia Smale have continued to impress at the Under 19 World Cup.

Niamh has amassed 106 runs from three innings at an average of 53 at a strike rate of 160.60 with a best of 59 against Zimbabwe.

Sophia is England’s leading wicket taker in the tournament with a total of seven wickets at an average of 3.71 and an economy rate of 2.88. She claimed three for 11 against Ireland, two for 10 against Pakistan and two for five against Zimbabwe.
