Platinum Membership sells out again!

Platinum Membership of Somerset County Cricket Club has sold out for the second year running.

2016 saw the Club achieve a sell out for the first time ever and CEO Guy Lavender is delighted that this accomplishment has been repeated.  “To achieve this feat again is tremendous,” he said.  “Last year was the first time in our history that Platinum Membership had sold out, so to do it again is a real testament to the hard work of everyone at the Club who ensures that our Members have such an outstanding experience.  It also reflects that there is a high demand for the sport throughout the West Country.

“In addition to Platinum Membership selling out again, we have also seen an overall increase of over 250 in our Membership this year compared to last year and over 1000 on 2015.  When you factor in the popularity of our NatWest T20 Blast fixtures it is clear to see that the Club is in a healthy position.

“This summer promises to be the most exciting in the Club’s history as we are now less than two months away from staging an International T20 between England and South Africa.  In addition to this we are also looking forward to playing a major part in the ICC Women’s World Cup.  When you also factor in the ECB’s new All Stars Cricket initiative, 2017 will be a year to remember for everyone involved in the sport in the region.”
