Players delighted by pavilion artwork
Ahead of the 2019 season the Andrew Caddick Pavilion at the Cooper Associates County Ground underwent something of a face lift.
The interior of the building that the players call home was completely redecorated by Carly Press whilst the squad were away for pre-season training in Abu Dhabi. The new artwork that adorns the walls features a number of montages of the current playing squad plus large individual images of each player.
As this dramatic season draws to a close, we caught up with Somerset Head Coach, Jason Kerr to get his views on the artwork.
“We wanted to create an environment that would inspire each and every player in the squad,” he said. “A lot of time went into the planning and the design, and I’m absolutely over the moon with what Carly Press have done.
“The players had no idea that we were doing this, and when we got back from Abu Dhabi the energy around the group when they saw it was incredible. The feedback from the players has been universally positive. That reaction proves to me that we made the right choice in doing what we did.
“The way that the opposition teams have complimented us on how the pavilion interior looks and how inspirational it is also a real testament to the work that Carly Press have done.”
Mark Gladstone-Smith, Managing Director of Carly Press said: “We were delighted when Somerset CCC approached us to work with them on this project. Not only did it give us an opportunity to showcase the capabilities of our large format department, it felt great to be a part of something designed to inspire the players and staff at the Club.
“The end result looks fantastic, and hearing the players feedback was amazing. This has been a truly lovely project which will be enjoyed for many seasons to come.”
