SCCC and SportVision surprise the players
The players at Somerset County Cricket Club had an extra reason to celebrate the lifting of Covid-19 restrictions recently.
When the squad returned to the Andrew Caddick Pavilion, they were in for a surprise.
Unknown to the playing staff, the Club worked closely with SportVision Ltd to decorate the dressing rooms and player’s areas with inspirational imagery.
Lee Callanan, Director of SportVision explains: “The changing room and approaching corridors had been out of bounds due to Covid protocols, and Somerset wanted to use the lifting of restrictions as an opportunity to deliver an impactful and motivational change for the players, boosting confidence and creating a positive feel.
“Our design team and the coaching staff worked closely together on developing the themes and imagery that would help create the right atmosphere and we believe the end result speaks for itself.
“You can’t fail to be impressed when you enter this area and that lays the foundations from which the players can build a winning performance.”
Club Captain, Tom Abell was certainly impressed. “The artwork and imagery around the players pavilion is absolutely amazing,” he said. “It enhances how special a place it is for us to be around. We wanted a space that would inspire and motivate all at Somerset, and they have achieved this and more.”
Head Coach, Jason Kerr is pleased by the result. “I’m absolutely delighted that we could work so closely with SportVision, allowing us to create such an inspirational environment within the building. The quality of their work is excellent.
“I couldn’t be happier with the outcome in the home dressing room, and it far exceeded my expectations. The imagery in the dressing room is a big piece of the jigsaw when it comes to creating the right environment and inspiring all.
“I’d personally like to thank SportVision for working so closely with us and in particular Paul Tweddle for leading on this project.”Back to News
