Given the situation that we all currently find ourselves in regarding Covid-19, we understand that you may have a number of questions regarding the 2021 season.
With this in mind we have created a comprehensive FAQs section.
Although the Office at Somerset County Cricket Club is still closed to the public, some staff will still be working and will be available to answer telephone calls and respond to emails between 10am and 4pm from Monday to Friday.
Will the Club remain open?
SCCC is following the below operating policy until further notice:
- The Club Office in the Andrew Caddick Pavilion is also closed to members of the public until further notice. Please note that response times may be slightly longer, and you may be transferred to a staff member’s mobile phone.
- Our enquiries email address (firstname.lastname@example.org) will also still be operational and staff members will be tasked with answering any questions that you might have.
- Stragglers Coffee House is CLOSED until further notice
- SCCC Shop, now being run by Somerset County Sports, is open for online purchases only. Visit the SCCC Shop website for more.
- Fixtures scheduled to take place from March 2021 to May 16th, 2021 will be held “behind closed doors”.
These operating measures will be regularly reviewed and any updates on this situation will be posted on this website and across our social media channels.

Which games can I buy tickets for?
Currently, tickets are on general sale for the following matches scheduled after June 21st
Somerset vs Hampshire – Vitality Blast: Friday 25th June
Somerset vs Middlesex – Vitality Blast: Friday 2nd July
Somerset vs Gloucestershire – Vitality Blast: Sunday 18th July
Somerset vs Derbyshire – Royal London Cup: Sunday 25th July
Somerset vs Glamorgan – Royal London Cup: Wednesday 28th July
Somerset vs Leicestershire – Royal London Cup: Friday 30th July
Somerset vs Yorkshire – Royal London Cup: Sunday 1st August

Why can I not purchase a ticket for matches scheduled in May and June when you should be able to accommodate a 50% capacity?
Somerset County Cricket Club has a strong Membership base and eligible Members will be given priority access to these fixtures. As a result, fixtures scheduled between these dates will not go on general sale.
Will you be expecting to go on sale with these match days at a later date?
This will be subject to availability following a Members ballot and will be determined by ground capacity.
Can I select my own seat when buying T20 tickets?
Yes. Our ticketing system received an upgrade this winter, allowing supporters to view a ground map online and pick preferred seating arrangements through the online purchase.
When will my tickets arrive?
You should receive a confirmation email on completion of your purchase. E-tickets will be then emailed out over the next few weeks
What happens if I purchase a ticket for a match after the 21st of June, but the lifting of restrictions is delayed?
If fixtures for which tickets have been sold are cancelled or updated to be played behind closed doors due to a tightening in the government restrictions, ticket purchasers will be eligible to receive a full and automatic refund. This will be processed onto the payment method used to complete the original purchase and will be for the ticket value only.

I have purchased tickets but unfortunately now need to self-isolate, what is the COVID-19 Ticket Refund Policy?
If ticket purchasers are unable to attend a fixture due to COVID-19 related illness or a period of self-isolation, purchasers may request to transfer their purchase to another fixture during the 2021 (subject to isolation period ending and availability) or 2022 season. This request must be received at least 24 hours in advance of the match date.

What additional measures will be in place when I visit the CACG in 2021?
Whilst social distancing guidelines are in place you will be required to adhere to these. You will need to follow ECB and Government guidelines whilst inside the Cooper Associates County Ground. If you are required to wear a mask, follow social distancing rules, carry out hand hygiene regimes etc then you must do so. Entry to the ground will be by certain gates and a one-way system will be in place.
Will I need to be vaccinated to enter the Cooper Associates County Ground?
Somerset County Cricket Club will continue to work with the ECB and follow protocols set out by the UK Government on the roadmap outlined. At this stage a vaccine will not be required to enter the ground this summer.
I have a 2021 Gift Voucher, what happens if this cannot be used in 2021 due COVID-19 restrictions?
You will be allowed to roll this over to the 2022 season.

When can I expect to receive my 2021 Membership Pack?
Your Membership pack will arrive towards the end of May, prior to welcoming you back to the Cooper Associates County Ground.
How will Somerset manage reduced capacity crowds from May 17th to June 20th?
Recent work undertaken at the Cooper Associates County Ground has identified that with social distancing measures in place, along with additional protocols to further protect the playing environment, the Ground will be able to hold in the region of 2,000 spectators.
Somerset County Cricket Club has a strong Membership base and eligible Members have been given priority access to these fixtures. As a result, matches scheduled between these dates will not go on general sale unless Government guidance changes to allow a higher capacity.
Will I be able to sit in my usual seat and with my friends for these fixtures?
No. Given the reduced capacity regulations it will be necessary for you to sit in the seat that you have been assigned. We apologise for any inconvenience that this may cause.
I have T20 included in my membership, does this mean I have to still buy tickets for matches after 21st June?
No. Once we are back to full capacity, Members with allocated seating already purchased will be able to turn up and scan Membership cards like in previous seasons.

Entry to the ground will be by named gates and one-way systems may be in place.
If I am unsuccessful in the ballots and with a portion of the season being played behind closed doors, will I be entitled to a proportionate refund this year?
If, due to Government restrictions, we are prevented from allowing Members into the ground on match days you will be given the option of claiming a proportionate refund or donating your Membership fee to the Club. This will be managed at the conclusion of the 2021 season.Back to News
