SCCC and Real Shaving Company join forces for Movember

Several members of our squad have teamed up with The Real Shaving Company to take part in this year’s Movember campaign.

Movember is a moustache growing charity event held during November each year that raises funds and awareness for prostate cancer, testicular cancer, mental health and suicide prevention.

Players including Tom Abell, Marcus Trescothick, Peter Trego, James Hildreth and Roelof van der Merwe will be attempting to recreate the facial hair of some of our “Glory Years” era players.

Funds raised for Movember are committed to programmes supporting prostate cancer and testicular cancer initiatives run by the Movember Foundation and through their men’s health partners Prostate Cancer UK and the Institute of Cancer Research.  They will also be funding men’s mental health programmes.

As part of the initiative The Real Shaving Company, our Official T20 Partner, will be matching whatever total is raised by the players.

We also have a signed Somerset T20 Shirt and a number of Real Shaving Company gift sets to give away.
