Second XI Friendly Day Three: Somerset v Yorkshire - Match drawn
Yorkshire resumed on 63 for one on the third and final day of this Second XI friendly at the Cooper Associates County Ground.
Jeet Raval and Tom Loten added 53 for the second wicket before the latter was trapped lbw by Paul van Meekeren for 12.
Raval was eventually dismissed for 56 when Ben Green took a catch off the bowling of Ollie Sale at 88 for three.
Jordan Thompson and Matthew Waite had moved the score on to 144 when Thompson was caught behind to give van Meekeren his second wicket.
Waite fell to Calvin Harrison just eight runs short of his half century and when Ben Birkhead was bowled by Ollie Sale Yorkshire were 174 for six.
By the time the tea interval arrived Yorkshire were 221 for six.
After the break Yorkshire reached 282 for six before both teams shook hands on the draw at 5pm.
Somerset Second XI Coach, Greg Kennis has named the following squad for the match: Tom Banton, Ben Green, George Bartlett, Tim Rouse*, Tom Lammonby, Will Smeed, Lewis Goldsworthy, Calvin Harrison, Ollie Sale, Paul van Meekeren, Tim Groenewald, Nathan Gilchrist and Casey Aldridge.
Entry to the Cooper Associates County Ground is free but the pay and display car park will be in operation.

Ben Green’s double century was the highlight on day two of this three-day Second XI friendly between Somerset and Yorkshire at the Cooper Associates County Ground.
Somerset resumed on 33 for one and Green and George Bartlett took the score to 42 before the latter was removed for nine.
Somerset lost two more wickets as they slipped to 79 for four and by lunch Green and Will Smeed had begun the fight back as the hosts reached lunch with the scoreboard showing 129 for four.
After the break Smeed reached his half century but was dismissed just one run later with Somerset on 180 for five. Green went on to reach his century from 162 balls.
By the time the tea interval arrived Somerset were 265 for five with Green still unbeaten on 150.
Green reached his 200 with a six over long on as Somerset declared on 341 for six. His runs came off 232 balls.
By the close of play Yorkshire had reached 63 for one, a lead of 51.
Calvin Harrison was the star on day one of Somerset’s three-day Second XI friendly against Yorkshire at the Cooper Associates County Ground.
Harrison claimed seven wickets as Somerset fought back well in the final session of the day.
Play got underway at 11am on Tuesday with each day consisting of 96 overs and three two-hour sessions.
Yorkshire won the toss and elected to bat.
The visiting batsmen made a solid start with openers Jeet Raval and Ben Birkhead taking the score to 102 before the former was bowled by Paul van Meekeren for 50.
By the time the lunch interval had arrived Yorkshire were 113 for one.
After the interval Birkhead reached his 100 from 159 balls and Tom Lowten made his way to 59 before being bowled by Calvin Harrison on the stroke of tea to make Yorkshire 243 for two.
Birkhead was eventually dismissed for 112 with the score on 254 when he was caught by Casey Aldridge to give Harrison a second wicket.
Harrison then struck for a third time to remove Jordan Thompson for eight courtesy of a catch by Ben Green as Yorkshire reached 272 for four. He then also removed Matthew Waite, Bilal Anjam, Ed Barnes and Jared Warner as Yorkshire declared on 3329 for eight.
Harrison finished with seven for 71 from his 18 overs.
In reply Somerset ended the day on 33 for one.
