Somerset Second XI are in T20 action today (Monday) when we host Hampshire for two friendly matches at Taunton Vale.

MATCH ONE

MATCH ONE SCORECARD

Hampshire won the toss and elected to bat.

The Somerset bowlers made an excellent start as Max Waller, Jerome Taylor and Nathan Gilchrist reduced the visitors to eight for three.

However, Brad Taylor and James Fuller added 116 for the fourth wicket.

Fuller was eventually removed for 59 from 34 balls courtesy of a catch by Jack Scrivens to give Tom Lammonby a wicket. Taylor then fell for 55 from 43 balls whilst 32 not out off eleven balls from Chris Wood saw the visitors post a total of 193 for seven from their 20 overs.

The Somerset reply never really got going as wickets fell at regular intervals, and the hosts were all out for 78 after 12.5 overs.

Hampshire therefore won by 115 runs.
