Match Preview

Somerset travel to Radlett CC today to take on Middlesex in the final of the Second XI Trophy competition.

The match will get underway at 11am and entry is free.

Looking ahead to the game Second XI Coach, Greg Kennis said: “The squad has performed well throughout this competition and reaching the final is reward for the hard work that they have put in. When needed, someone has stood up and performed and the most pleasing thing is that it has been someone different on many occasions.

“The final of the Second XI Trophy will provide many of the younger players in the squad with one of the biggest tests of their careers so far, so it is a great opportunity for them to shine.”

Greg has named the following squad for the final: Tom Banton, Fin Trenouth, Tim Rouse, Ollie Sale, Ben Green, Tom Lammonby, Lewis Goldsworthy, Nathan Gilchrist, Max Waller, Johann Myburgh, Peter Trego and Jamie Overton.
