SOMERSET CCC AND BRADFORDS CONTINUE TO BUILD

Somerset County Cricket Club are thrilled to be able to reveal that our exciting and productive relationship with Bradfords Building Supplies will continue.

In 2021, Bradfords helped Somerset CCC to continue building for the future by becoming the Club’s Official Pathway Partner.

This new contract renewal will see SCCC and Bradfords continuing to collaborate for at least another 12 months.

Whether it be sport or the building industry, it is absolutely vital to secure solid foundations if you wish to succeed.

The Somerset County Cricket Club Pathway gives talented young cricketers from across the region the opportunity to further develop their potential within an elite environment and aids their development across a variety of disciplines, both on and off the field. 16 of the current 23 players in the Somerset First Team squad have been involved with our Player Pathway, with many more destined to make that step up to the professional game in the coming years.

As part of the agreement, the Bradfords logo will continue to appear on Player Pathway playing shirts, with further exposure including both ground and live stream advertising.

SCCC Commercial Director, Caroline Herbert is delighted that this relationship is set to continue. “Somerset has the most celebrated Player Pathway in the country,” she said. “The continued support of Bradfords will genuinely aid with the development of the next stars of Somerset and England cricket.

“In addition to playing a major role in the progression of our talented young players, Bradfords worked with us on a number of content elements for the benefit of our Members and supporters last year.

“2022 will see this partnership go to the next level, and there will be a number of exciting projects that we will be collaborating on throughout the year which will underline Bradfords’ commitment to helping ensure that the most talented players in the region achieve their goals. We have already seen Bradfords go above and beyond to create a house for the legendary Brian the Cat, so look out for further announcements throughout the next few weeks.”

Paul Malloy, Head of Marketing at Bradfords added: “Supporting the local communities where we operate is a core focus for us, as it has been for the past 252 years, so the opportunity to partner a grassroots programme like this is a great fit. As a company that believes strongly in growing our own talent, there’s a lot of synergy between the aims of the Player Pathway and our own efforts to encourage our next generation of team members.” By building on the foundations of becoming the Club’s Official Pathway Partner in 2021, we are extremely excited by the great shared opportunities that lie ahead in 2022 and beyond.”
