Somerset CCC renew Shrey Helmet Partnership

Somerset County Cricket Club are pleased to be able to announce that we have renewed our partnership with Shrey.

The continuation of this relationship will see Shrey remain as one of our preferred helmet providers for the 2021 season.

The agreement means that Shrey will provide helmets for several of our First Team and Academy players.

Somerset have a good working relationship with Shrey, dating back a number of years. The Shrey Cricket Helmets brand was launched in 2013 in the memory of the youngest member of the Kohli family, whose name was Shrey. Since then, Shrey has gone on to become one of the leading helmet brands in the world.

Shrey Cricket Helmets are developed with cutting edge technology, delivering paramount invulnerability for best performance.

Following the signing of this partnership renewal, Somerset CCC Head Coach, Jason Kerr said: “It’s fantastic that we can continue our relationship with Shrey. They provide a number of our players with superb helmets, ensuring that they are safe and very well protected when they are out in the middle and fielding around the bat.”

Head of the SCCC Talent Pathway, Steve Snell said: “We are pleased that this partnership is continuing. The importance of safety and in particular our awareness around concussion protocols and player welfare has never been more prevalent. Therefore, we want to ensure that our players are as safe as they possibly can be so that they can enjoy the game safely and with confidence.”

Matt Cooke, Shrey Sales Director UK, Europe & Hong Kong said: We’re delighted to continue our relationship with one of the leading professional cricket setups in the country.  Having a partnership in place allows us to work closely with the club to cover all the specific needs of the players for their helmet requirements. Not only working with the first team players but the academy also.  At Shrey we are passionate about the safety of the players and are always striving to improve helmet technologies further, working with the top players for feedback is a great benefit to both parties.
