Somerset T20 KO Cups Finals Day: Preview


100 teams started the journey to The Cooper Associates County Ground, and now only six teams remain. They will be battling it out for glory at Finals Day on Sunday August 8th.


The Minor Cup sees Wiveliscombe take on Kilmington & Stourton at 10am.

Wiveliscombe have beaten Fitzhead Crusaders, Bishops Hull, Bagborough and Street on their way to the final, and have the competitions leading run scorer in George Sinnott

Kilmington & Stourton saw off the challenge of Temple Cloud 2nds, Bath 4ths, Cranmore and Weston-super-Mare 3rds.

Both sides have never won this competition, so there will be a new name on the trophy this year.


The Major Cup will start at approximately 1pm, with Bedminster taking on Taunton St Andrews.

Bedminster beat Weston-super-Mare and Clevedon before securing an eight-run win against Lansdown in the semi-finals.

Taunton St Andrews defeated Taunton Deane 2nds before beating Bridgwater, thanks to 139 from Louis Kraucamp. They then saw off the challenge of Ilminster in in the semi-final.


Monmouth Scientific League Premier Division sides, North Petherton and Winscombe go head to head in the Intermediate Cup, starting at 4pm.

North Petherton have seen off Wembdon 2s, Trull, Bridgwater 3s and Ilminster 2s to reach the final.

Winscombe overcame Cleeve, Backwell Flax Bourton, Weston-super-Mare 2s and Beckington.

To attend these match, you must book your free ticket and sit in your allocated seat.


Tickets can also be claimed on the St James Street Entrance on the day but we strongly recommend that this is done in advance to avoid delays.


A live stream of this match will be available for fans to watch via our YouTube channel. Please note that there will not be commentary on the stream.


For the foreseeable future, we will continue to have robust protocols in place within the Ground to protect our Members, spectators and staff.  These will include continuing to collect track and trace information, the recommendation that face masks be worn when moving around the Ground and particularly when indoors or in enclosed spaces. Monitoring ingress and egress through specific gates and hand sanitiser points will remain in situ throughout the Ground.

Our COVID-19 Spectator Code of Conduct will also remain in force.

Free parking is available within the ground but it is limited and available on a first come, first served basis in the St James Street Car Park.


Gates will open at 9am.

The Jack White Gates (St James Street) will be the only gate in operation for this match.

Seating is only available in the Ondaatje Stand, the Marcus Trescothick Pavilion Lower Tier and Block One of the Somerset Stand.


Don’t forget that our ground-wide Wi-Fi network is fully operational.

The Wi-Fi is completely free of charge and to connect all you have to do is select the option: “_WeAreSomerset” in your settings and enter a valid email address.

You can also update your preferences or unsubscribe at any time.

With the new Wi-Fi you can browse the internet around the Cooper Associates County Ground. This means, for example, that our matchday live stream can be accessed without using your data, meaning instant replays of all the action on the field are available at no extra cost to you.

  • Concession (Marcus Trescothick Pavilion Lower Tier)
