Somerset to live stream RLODC Final in celebration of 1 year anniversary
Somerset County Cricket Club are pleased to announce a special look back at the 2019 Royal London One-Day Cup Final this coming Bank Holiday Monday.
In association with Official Partners Rotec Hydraulics, we will be celebrating the 1 year anniversary on the 25th May by bringing you a special Somerset Rewind featuring the full match coverage!
The game will be broadcast ‘live’ via the Somerset YouTube Channel in full HD, with links posted on this website and social media shortly before play will get underway.
Highlight clips and photos will be posted on Twitter throughout the match, with fans able to interact on these channels and via the YouTube chat function. Both Peter Trego and Azhar Ali will be also giving their thoughts on the day via video interview.
Additionally, we have teamed up with BBC Radio Somerset to provide live radio commentary on DAB and via the BBC Sport Website. Their normal programmes will continue on 95.5 FM, 1566 AM, online and on the BBC Sounds App.
BBC Radio Somerset’s coverage of the day, led by Nick Bull and evening show presenter Charlie Taylor, received Silver in the Sports Journalism Awards for’ Best Coverage of a Live Event’ and a Gold in the BBC Local Radio Sport category.
“For some of us a summer without cricket is worse than a summer without sunshine,” said station editor Nick Bull. “We wanted to do something special for cricket fans by taking them back to that historic day.
“In true Somerset fashion, fans at the game drunk Lord’s out of cider. This time around you can listen while relaxing in your garden with a cider for the full experience.”
