Somerset to live stream record-breaking 2006 T20 Match
Somerset County Cricket Club are pleased to announce that we will be taking a special look back at a famous evening in our history.
In partnership with Cooper Associates, we will be bringing you a special Somerset Rewind featuring full match coverage of the T20 Cup clash against Gloucestershire from June 27th, 2006.
The match will be broadcast on Wednesday March 17th at 7pm
This classic fixture saw Somerset amass 250 for three from 20 overs. It was at the time a world record score, and provides a fascinating look back at T20 cricket from a previous era. This full Sky Sports Broadcast has not aired since 2006, and is one of the most memorable Somerset matches of the 21st century.
It was the Justin Langer and Cameron White show that evening as the Australian pair shared a record partnership of 186. Langer fell for 90 from 46 balls whilst his compatriot finished on a stunning 116 not out.
The game will be broadcast ‘live’ via the Somerset YouTube Channel and Facebook Page in full 1080p HD, with links posted on this website and social media shortly before play will get underway.
