Spotlight on: Robert Cooney
Around the same time as a certain Jack Leach was lighting up the cricketing world, attracting a record audience of 2.1 million viewers at its peak, only a few people would ever have known that there was also what is described as one of life’s major events taking place for him at the same time.
Outside his increasingly fast paced professional career, Jack was selling his house. Or to be more precise, Jack had instructed Robert Cooney to sell his house, and the lead up to the milestone in the buying and selling process – the exchange of contracts – was running in tandem with what turned out to be a summer of cricketing history.
After only 21 days of marketing, some 24 viewings and an impressive six offers, on June 11th the deal was tied, just in time for an early birthday surprise for Jack. However, there was far more to come – the work was just beginning for us all.
Jack was soon to be named in the England squad to play Ireland at Lord’s – no pressure! – and while Jack was then very busy clocking up an extraordinary 92 runs and cleaning his glasses in between overs, the Robert Cooney team focussed fully on the progression of his sale, a detailed meticulous process ensuring a sale stays on track.
More triumphs followed for Jack not least with 12 wickets in four Ashes Tests against Australia and of course who will ever forget his one not out.
Behind the scenes, with good local solicitors working alongside our team, Jack’s sale completed.
This news didn’t quite hit the same headlines as Jack’s one not out, but as life events go, job done and another happy client.
Thank you Jack!
