SPOTLIGHT ON: WPA
Over the course of the season, we will be introducing Somerset Members and supporters to some of the faces behind our 2021 commercial partners. Joining you as part of our SCCC family, when crowds return you’ll frequently see them watching games at the Cooper Associates County Ground, so do stop and say hello!
Who are WPA and what do you do?
We are a specialist UK Health Insurance company. We offer policies for companies of all sizes, the self-employed, individuals and families.
Who inspires you in the world of business?
Bill Gates, hardworking and hugely successful but portrays a passion for helping others and a humble personality.
What was it that made you want to partner with Somerset County Cricket Club? And what do you hope to achieve?
The opportunity to partner with the most prestigious sports club in the South West is exciting. As a locally based insurer it is important that we support our local community. It would be incredible to see our logo on the back page of the sports pages as Tom Abell holds aloft the County Championship trophy in September.
What can Members, supporters and club partners expect to see from WPA over the next 12 months?
We are going to be sharing some insightful health & wellbeing content – blogs and vlogs that will provide hints and tips to help people stay healthy such as a 5-minute vlog on improving your sleep. We look forward to meeting members at the CACG over coming months.
